Ideally, the human body is designed to keep biological systems maintained for optimum performance in the face of many challenges. Variations in the quality of our sleep, diet, exercise, and hydration can contribute to the creation of chemical, physical or energetic restrictions, constrictions, blockages, or even twisting of the natural flow of these systems. Automobile accidents, surgeries, falls, head concussions of even mild force trauma can cause a disruption, restriction or misalignment of the flow in our physical systems and/or energetic bodies. Keeping these systems working properly in the face of life’s everyday challenges often requires more attention than most of us can actually provide.

We need a space to facilitate our body’s own ability to maintain optimum health and I am here to create that space for you.

Finding Balance

The busy and sometimes frenetic pace of 21st century living can make it challenging to maintain balance and clarity in our everyday lives. We try to do it all, but it can often be an uphill battle. In a world where independence and self-sufficiency are rewarded, it can be uncomfortable to ask for help. Sure we can be super organized and disciplined to accomplish everything we want to achieve, and often succeed in doing so, but sometimes we fall short. By reaching out and asking for help from those with expertise in certain areas of our lives, we can actually achieve more of our goals in a balanced and focused way and with grace and ease. I’m here to assist you and be part of your overall wellness plan.

Stillness

There are many modalities that can contribute to your overall wellness: yoga, meditation, prayer or exercise. And they all have something in common; they decrease stress by increasing relaxation. The goal of my services is to bring about a stillness in which the body is in a deeply relaxed, self-healing state. This stillness is achieved by using a variety of wellness modalities that begin the process of unwinding, untwisting, releasing energetic or physical “kinks” in the body’s natural flow. This in turn helps to relieve tension, restore vitality and improve flow to various body systems facilitating your body’s own natural ability to heal itself.

Wellness Modalities

Some of the modalities that we may use to relax the body and help restore balance include:

Reflexology – performed by using gentle and relaxing finger and thumb movements, on specific points of the feet, hands and ears.
CranioSacral Therapy – involving very gentle and subtle touch therapy on the bones of the skull and all along the spine.
Aromatherapy, Crystal Therapy and Sound Therapy – used to go deep into the senses, allowing your body, mind and soul to be nourished and rejuvenated.
Reiki Energy and Chakra Balancing – to correct chakra imbalances by stimulating or calming the energy centers, release energy blockages and facilitate flow for energetic healing.

Utilizing a combination of two or more of these modalities provides a foundation that allows for the customization of each session and the ability to address your specific needs.

What to Expect

The Environment

Throughout a session, you are fully clothed, lying comfortably on a table in a sacred space dedicated to your well-being. Victor uses specific touch techniques on your feet, hands, ears, head, spine and abdomen to initiate deep relaxation. You may go into a peaceful, meditative state during the session. As the body lets go of unnecessary stress and strain, you could find yourself feeling deeply relaxed and aware of sensations such as heat, tingling and pulsations. After your session you may experience increased mobility, relief from pain, and increased mental clarity.

Victor’s integrated approach uses a variety of modalities that incorporate the best combination of options, tailoring the session to address your immediate, short and long-term needs. No two sessions are the same and the results are as varied as the sessions.

The overarching goal is to bring about a stillness in which the body is in a deeply relaxed, self-healing state. Below is an example of a typical wellness session:

- A check-in upon arrival, to communicate your current state of being and to discuss any current issues that might be present.
- Move to the table where you will lie face-up, fully clothed with socks, belts, jewelry and hair clips removed.
- A preliminary check-in with your body by gently placing my hands on your feet, hips, ribs, and shoulders.
- Utilizing specific reflexology touch techniques and Therapeutic Essential Oils on the feet, hands and ears.
- Utilizing gentle craniosacral touch techniques on the skull, shoulders, ribs, abdomen, spine and sacrum.
- Ending with powerful sound therapy using the gong and crystal bowl.

Your session will be customized based on the information you provide in the intake and will address your specific needs.

By applying a variety of techniques from various wellness modalities, we seek to achieve deep relaxation that can lead to tension relief, enhancing the body’s ability to self-correct and improve many of the symptoms of a body that is out of balance.

The goal is to stimulate the immune and central nervous systems to help regulate pain and restore energetic balance. Through this multi-modality approach we are able to alleviate a wide variety of dysfunctions, from chronic pain and injuries to stroke and neurological impairment.

Homeostasis

Homeostasis: The property of a system in which variables are regulated so that internal conditions remain stable and relatively constant.

Internal processes operate to keep the conditions in our body within tight limits to allow metabolic chemical reactions to proceed. Homeostatic processes act at the level of the cell, the tissue and the organ, as well as for the organism as a whole.

Our Body Systems

- The Immune System is geared towards impeccable housekeeping; destroying and eliminating harmful pathogens and any toxins that we may absorb, swallow or breathe.
- The Circulatory System provides nutrients and especially oxygen to nearly all of the tissues and cells of the body and then absorbs toxins and metabolic waste products for elimination.
- The Gastrointestinal and Respiratory Systems are designed to absorb nutrients from food and air and eliminate the byproducts of metabolism.
- The Muscular and Skeletal Systems provide mobility and structure.
- The Endocrine System secretes hormones that help keep a very delicate balance in the overall functioning of all systems.
- The Nervous System is an electrical grid that is optimized for communication between systems to ensure quick response and attention to the needs of each of these systems.

Sessions are designed to address imbalances in one or more of these systems and depending on the extent of the imbalance can make a difference in a single session. More involved imbalances might benefit from multiple sessions in a few days or weeks or even regular sessions over a longer period of time. By receiving one or more light-touch wellness therapies, we may begin to address some of the issues caused by stress or injuries acquired in our daily lives.
